Creating a World That Works for All: One Community at a Time

Lil Wayne and His Unsuccessful Album Rebirth

The world of music is a rather complicated phenomenon to judge. On the one hand, creating lyrics and music is the type of Art. On the other hand, Art is so subjective: what is pleasant for one person is disgusting for another. This phenomenon is described by simple set expression: tastes differ.

Last week I worked over academic writing. I turned on the radio because it helps me concentrate on mental work. The new album by Lil Wayne was broadcasted on the radio that day. From the first song I understood that piece of work cannot be distinguished as a piece of Art. First of all, the lyrics of the songs were primitive. I even had a feeling that the author of the songs was a gorilla from the national zoo. The rhyme was the simplest I have ever heard, the words were the most stupid, and the music was a mass of noise and beats.

Nevertheless, I became interested in what I have heard and decided to find out who Lil Wayne is and why he decided to create such an awful album. I have read reviews and essay writing online about the album. The thing is that Rebirth is the seventh album by Lil Wayne . The album was released the day before the end of Wayne’s charge for weapon possession. Perhaps, the name of the album was the only metaphoric element in the whole work. By the way, the majority of mainstream critics left negative reviews about the Rebirth.
