Present Company - February Meet Up at Asheville location - to be announced

February 18, 2010 from 7pm to 9pm
The seeds for solutions are always present within the challenges we face, and can be uncovered via the questions we ask......- How do we find and best express our unique gifts, and what does it take to fully manifest one's Vision?- Why and how is it that we often play smaller than who we really are, and why are we so unaware of how these limiting patterns are operating in our lives?- How do we structure our business relationships in a way where all our stakeholders can be part of this inquiry…See More

Join us for our 6th community gathering, in our on-going dialogue of how we can build a wiser future together. You're invited to a conversation around how we can work better together in groups. We've all been on our own self awareness journey, but the evolution of humankind is about learning to evolve as a group or community. So how can we take all we've learned and apply it to living more harmoniously?Come and tell us your story! Let's cross-pollinate ideas! What tools, thoughts, concepts have…See More

Paul Hawken's unforgettable Commencement address to University of Portland class of 2009

Healing or Stealing? - “You are brilliant, and the earth is hiring…” by Paul Hawken

When I was invited to give this speech, I was asked if I could give a simple short talk that was “direct, naked, taut, honest, passionate, lean, shivering, startling, and graceful.” Boy, no pressure there.

But let’s begin with the startling part. Hey, Class of 2009: you are going to have to figure out what it means to be a human being on earth at a time when every living system is… Continue

Kerry,

It was very good to meet you at your first public speaking event. I look forward to the next world cafe event March 8. Even though I missed the last one, I'm comming up to speed for the next one quickly through access to this wonderful website. Many thanks for getting this thing going. I agree that it is important to 'feed the field' and I get a sense that I'm not alone in this view.
In the following month leading up to the next world cafe, I expect to do just that. Now that I've finally got a 'blog' going in the context of the community of this website, I'll be feeding the field as much as I can. Steve

You're amazing! Our meeting went well yesterday - I'm sure Maureen must have filled you in about it and the 3 new questions we came up with for the next invite/topic for the next event. I look forward to it - and to hearing more about how this is spreading! Blessings, Gayatri

This discussion is leading to a creative space I have been craving for a long time. While housing for elders has been a passion for a long time, the import to me is a return to the tradition of elders occupying a special role as sages and wisdom-sharers, nurturers for the young, and reminders of who we are a community, which will enrich the experience for all.
