I came to Asheville in '95 with a vague idea that I was here looking for community, and I landed on Sleepy Gap in Arden, the "rice cake mill" once owned by the Lindsay family. I thought for awhile that the neighborhood there would be the community I longed for, but that didn't work out. All these years later, still looking for community, I end up at a World Cafe across the table from Treska Lindsey. Small world? Synchronicity?
